5 Pakistani troopers killed in Waziristan ‘terror assault’ | World Information

Islamabad: A minimum of 5 Pakistani troopers had been killed as terrorists attacked their autos within the North Waziristan district close to the Afghanistan border on Saturday (October 2), a media report stated.

Pakistan`s media affairs wing Inter-Providers Public Relations (ISPR) stated in an announcement that 4 Frontier Corps personnel and an Inspector of the Levies power had been killed within the assault, in response to Samaa TV.

The incident passed off in North Waziristan`s Spin Wam space. A search operation has been launched by the officers and the realm was cordoned off.

Earlier on September 30, a Pakistan Military captain was killed throughout an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa`s (KP) Tank district. There was an uptick in assaults on Pakistani forces in latest months. 

Assaults on safety forces have elevated in some areas of North and South Waziristan tribal districts because the Taliban intensified offensive in opposition to the federal government forces throughout the border in Afghanistan.
