India’s Minister of State (MoS) for Exterior Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi met UN Deputy Secretary-Common Amina Mohammed to debate regional points and reforms.
Lekhi, who’s in New York, met Mohammed on Wednesday and tweeted: “We mentioned multilateral and regional points. Had fruitful trade of views on Sustainable Improvement, Local weather Change, Covid-19 response and UN reforms.”
She additionally met with Abdullah Shahid, the International Minister of the Maldives who would be the President of the following session of the UN Common Meeting (UNGA).
He tweeted that it was “superb” to fulfill along with her and talk about his priorities for the following session.
“India is a champion of multilateralism and I’m assured of India’s help to the Presidency of Hope,” his tweet mentioned.
Lekhi tweeted that they mentioned Covid-19 vaccines, gender, youth, human rights and setting.
Shahid was elected with the backing of India.
