New Delhi: Petrol and diesel costs remained unchanged for the twenty second straight day on Thursday after the Centre lowered excise tax on gas to carry retail charges down from document highs.

The value of petrol in Delhi stands at Rs 103.97 per litre whereas diesel is at Rs 86.67 per litre. In Kolkata, the value of petrol is presently Rs 104.67 per litre, whereas diesel is Rs 89.79 per litre. A litre of petrol was bought in Chennai for a similar value of Rs 101.40. The value of diesel remained unchanged at Rs 91.43 a litre. Equally, petrol and diesel charges in Mumbai stayed unchanged at Rs 109.98 and Rs 94.14 per litre.
