seventh Pay Fee: The Gujarat authorities on Monday introduced an 11 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA) for its staff and pensioners with retrospective impact from July 1. With this, the brand new DA fee will likely be 28 per cent, up from 17 per cent of primary wage, and this was at par with the one being offered to Central authorities staffers and pensioners, Gujarat Chief Minister Nitin Patel stated.
“The Union authorities, in July, raised DA for its staff from 17 per cent to twenty-eight per cent. Because the state authorities often follows Central DA charges and does revisions accordingly, we too determined to hike the DA from 17 per cent to twenty-eight per cent, to be efficient from July 1,” he instructed reporters.
“This DA revision will profit some 9.61 lakh state authorities and panchayat staff, in addition to 4.5 lakh pensioners coated underneath the seventh Pay Fee. The hike will value the state exchequer Rs 378 crore each month. The brand new DA will replicate within the wage of September,” Patel added.
He stated July arrears could be paid in October and people of August in January subsequent 12 months.
