Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will lead the Indian delegation on the two-day ASEM summit to be held nearly from Thursday. The ASEM or Asia-Europe Assembly is a platform for the international locations in Asia and Europe to trade views on regional and international points and strengthen cooperation in a variety of areas.
The grouping contains 51 member international locations and two regional organisations– the European Union and the Affiliation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) stated the thirteenth ASEM summit with the theme “strengthening multilateralism for shared progress” might be held nearly from November 25 to 26 and Naidu will lead the Indian delegation on the deliberations.
The summit will even mark the twenty fifth anniversary of the ASEM course of.
